Blacksmith perform classic folk-rock from the heady days of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, and the Albion Band. Founded in Hampshire in 2018, they have risen to become one of the pre-eminent folk rock bands in the South of England.
Lead singer Kathy Ashford along with fiddle player Rick Monaghan, Bassist Jerry Sharpe, Guitarist Graham Thomas and drummer Gordon Munro have since appeared at village fetes and larger festivals across the south of England.
They have released several self-produced videos, including the hugely popular Who Knows Where the Time Goes, which has amassed almost 31,000 views on YouTube. The band’s first album ‘A Genuine Forgery’ was released in 2020 and has sold well both at home and around the world to fans from the USA to China
