With a mix of original numbers and carefully uncovered gems from the early 70s, Mungo Blues play a high-energy, percussion-driven, rhythmic and funky version of blues and r’n’b, with a hard-driving sax and B3 organ sound joined by Mungo’s distinctive harmonica work.

Mungo hails from Scotland but lived for two years in Chicago, putting together a blues/funk band of local players and gigging extensively on the downtown scene.  Now in his 50s and based in Oxfordshire, this is the third time (and third country) where he has put a band together. Mungo Blues are a multi-generational group of heavily experienced musicians who came together in the summer.
